GRADING SYSTEM
GRADING SYSTEM
Grades
are based on total points earned out of total points possible. For
example your score may be 525/615. Therefore, your average for that
grading period would be 85%. Power school is updated at least once a
week. Averages are established according to the Gothenburg Public
Schools guidelines.The following is the grading system at Gothenburg Jr/Sr High School:
A = 95-100% (4.0)
A- = 93-94% (3.7)
B+ = 91-92% (3.3)
B = 87-90% (3.0)
B- = 85-86% (2.7)
C+ = 83-84% (2.3)
C = 79-82% (2.0)
C- = 77-78% (1.7)
D+ = 75-76% (1.3)
D = 72-74% (1.0)
D- = 70-71% (0.7)
F = 0-69% (0.0)
P=Pass
I=Incomplete
WP=Withdrew-Passing
WF=Withdrew-failing
NC=No Credit due to attendance
These grades will be issued following each nine week period and will indicate a composite grade earned up to that point.
