CLASSROOM POLICY

"Character is a choice.  It's what you do when no one is looking."  (Tom Osborne)  Make the right choices.

SAFETY  Everyone deserves the right to be in a pleasant learning environment.
1.  Bullying in the classroom or in the halls will NOT BE TOLERATED.   If you can't say something positive, don't say anything at all.
2.  Do not do anything that may result in injury to yourself or others. 

RESPECT  "Do unto others...."
3.  Do not talk or interrupt when someone else is speaking.  Give them the same attention you want when it is your turn to share your thoughts.
4.  Food and candy are not allowed during class. 
5.  Chewing gum is a privilege not a right.  Please do not put gum or wrappers anywhere but in the trash can or your mouth.  Otherwise, the privilege will be suspended.
6.  Treat all school property with respect.  Do not mark on desks or books.  All books must be covered at all times.

RESPONSIBILITY   Lack of planning and preparation on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
   Make the right choices.
7.  ALL rules in the handbook will be enforced - including the TARDY BELL POLICY.  You are considered tardy if you are not in your seat when the bell rings.
8.  Bring all assignments and materials to class every day.  If you forget an assignment in your locker you will not be excused to get the paper.  It will be considered late.  LATE PAPERS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
9.  Assignments are due BEFORE you leave for a planned absence (sports, doctor,vacation,etc).  LATE ASSIGNMENTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.  It is your responsibility to turn in assignments and to double check for notes, class work, etc. when you return.

CONSEQUENCES  "In nature there are neither rewards nor punishments.  There are consequences."
Any discipline problems will result in at least 15 minutes after school.  If you are asked to leave class we will conference before you are readmitted.
LATE ASSIGNMENTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

ASSIGNMENTS
The following heading is required on all papers.  This is for your  "protection" more than my convenience!!!
    NAME
    PERIOD #
    PAGE # (when appropriate)
    EXERCISE # (when appropriate)
    DATE DUE

˘All work must be completed in blue or black ink.
˘Papers turned in without names will not be corrected.  Therefore, you will not receive credit. 
˘Any paper that you want graded MUST be turned in to the appropriate black bin on the East wall.  NEVER, NEVER, NEVER lay a paper on my desk if you expect to have it graded.  ˘And remember...LATE PAPERS ARE NOT ACCEPTED!
